Ancient Ice Inuit Hand Carved Whale Necklace
About the Item
Vintage likely Inuit hand carving of a whale one of a kind necklace in 18K. Natural simply designed pendant necklace that cherishes indigenous people who protect the earth and this small collection is an homage to the North American Inuits that I have so much respect for.
The provenance of the 5 carvings that I created this small collection was discovered in 2023 when I inherited a sculpture of a scene with a variety of hand carved animals and an Inuit hunter. The 2 whales and one walrus were created with just a gold backing to protect the carving and a bail to suspend with a cable chain.
The message this collection sends is that we love this world and want to protect nature and simplicity. I will never be able to reproduce this collection nor do I wish to.

- Condition:Additions or alterations made to the original: Only added gold to the underside and created a jewelry pendant from a scene. Avoided jewelry work on the carved animal that is in perfect condition with only gluing to a gold peg in existing holes. All jewelry work done prior to gluing.
