Body in solid Russian Chalcedony from famed deposits in the Ural Mountains mounted on 14K Gold hanger. The colors of this stone are a fuzzy mix of Grey, Blue, Lavender, Rose Pink, and Black.
Bail hallmarked with Russian Imperial 56 on the bail, maker's hallmarks a bit fragmented "CE" . Initials of Егорнов Семен Матвеевич / S. M. Egornov, jeweler, owner of a workshop and shop in Moscow between 1884 - 1908. Worked with Gold, Silver, and Enamels.
Length of the egg including the hanger 21mm / or without 17 mm x Ø 10 mm at widest.
Weight: 2.1 grams

This magnificent, fine and impressive antique diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum.
This geometric Art Deco brooch is ornamented with a feature 1.25ct transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond, claw set in relief to the centre.
The central diamond is flanked to either side with an impressive horizontal linear formation of five baguette cut diamonds, all channel set in subtle convex relief.
This central design is encompassed with a pieced decorated floriated design, incorporating ten pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds.
This scalloped style design is encompassed with a paralleling setting, accented with forty-six pavé set diamonds, providing anchor points for the extended border.
This central linear array terminates to either side with an impressive collet set 0.73ct and 0.66ct transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond.
The upper and lower portions of this substantial and intricately pierced decorated brooch are embellished with arched borders embellished with seventy pavé set diamonds, conjoining with the central design via two emanating tiered arrays of collet set baguette cut diamonds.
This symmetrical pierced decorated frame bears an impressive Art Deco lobed terminal to either side, each incorporating a splayed arrangement of collet set baguette cut diamonds.
These collared, lobed segments are each further ornamented with forty-four pavé set transitional modern brilliant round cut diamonds, completing the design.
This Art Deco brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and sheath fastening.
This magnificent example of 1920s jewellery has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.
The antique 1920's Art Deco brooch in platinum is supplied with three IDGL diamond grading certificates for the feature diamonds, in addition to an IDGL diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.
Such large, high graded and evenly matched multi-diamond Art Deco style brooches are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.

History about Trench Watches
What is a “Trench Watch” ?
They were created using 3/0 and 0 size pocket watch movements and installing into watch cases that were meant to worn on the wrist. The watch movement companies would send their movements to independent jewelers, who in turn would select the cases, as described below. to house the movement.
So, the ordering process might go like this. A customer walks into a jeweler, with the help of the jeweler, the customer selects a 15 jeweled movement, then they go on to the case selection. The jeweler may recommend a higher end case manufactures, and then it is the style of case as many manufactures had several different styles. Once a complete selection was made, the jeweler put it together and delivered the watch. That is how many Trench Watches wrist watches were born in the early 1900's.
