Radiant 1940's Lori Nomadic Persian Rug
5' 3" x 8' 2"
Incredible antique tribal rug created by the legendary nomadic tribe of Persia, the Lores. The Lores are one of the most ancient groups of people who's history dates back to ancient Mesopotamia. These artisans are known for bold geometric designs, complimented by their selective use of colors. Works of this tribe are highly sought after due to their quality and their stylish geometric designs that look great anywhere.
Comprised entirely of Persian wool, that was raised, sheared, dyed, spun, and woven by a member of the Lori tribe, while trekking across the country. Due to the Lore's ancient weaving style and masterful technique, these pieces survive the test of time and last for generations.
This beautiful piece of Persian heritage perfectly encapsulates the charm of Lori rugs. It's geometric design is complimented by its bold color pallet making this piece absolutely eye-catching. Blues and rusty oranges perfectly compliment each other and the additional earth tones balance out its vibrancy. The rich tones are broken up by whimsical tribal motifs and geometric frames. It is truly a dazzling gem of a rug, and can easily by incorporated with any decor and any floor.
Despite being near 100 years of age, this piece is in great condition. It's pile is low but even, and is free of damage. It appears at one point the original binding was removed and it's edge has been secured in a few places (where the newer blue binding is present). This is a beautifully preserved piece, that will continue to be just as gorgeous for another 100 years.
This piece, like the rest of our collection, was hand-picked by Persian Rug expert and Shiraz native, Jason Dadras. Each piece was acquired through the relationships he forged around the world. Our rugs are ethically sourced and have been legally imported.
