Intertwined. Abstract, Modern, Contemporary, Plaster, wall Sculpture
By Cari Cohen
Located in Miami, US
Intertwined . Sculpture made by plaster and painted with acrylic and spray paint. 20H x 40W x 13D
About the process:
From a mesh I begin to create the forms of the sculpture, without previous ideas, I let myself be carried away by the curves and counter curves that are generated. Once this process is finished, there are many layers of material to give body and strengthen the work. Then comes the polishing and finally the painting. It takes me a long process to finish the sculpture.
My work combines aspects of architecture, the urban environment, bright graffiti colors, and a duality of structure with chaos. Curves, illusory perspectives, geometry, and urban symbols are among some of the tools I use in making my work.
Innovation with materials is a key component as I have used plaster...

Blanco Blue - Minimalist Geometric Three-Dimensional Blue Wall Sculpture
By Billy Criswell
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Utilizing geometric abstraction, Billy Criswell creates asymmetrical compositions that explore light, color, perspective and space. His modern sculptures evoke a sense of imploding/exploding and motion/counter-motion, challenging viewer perception.
Reminiscent of the abstracted forms of Cubism, combined with Louise Nevelson’s monumental wooden assemblages, the intimate scale of Criswell’s abstract one-of-a-kind sculptures reflects a profound response to 20th century modernism. Visual elements of celestial bodies, aerodynamics, architecture and nature challenge viewers to develop their own perceptions of the work.
This 22 inch high by 24 inch wide blue wooden sculpture is ready to be displayed. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Based in Southern California, Criswell’s works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States, including the Nahcotta Gallery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and the Pierce-Dunham Gallery in Houston, Texas.
In addition, his work is part of many public and corporate collections, including the Chicago Arts Council in Chicago; Pfizer Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY; the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo, Japan; and Disney Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Criswell is also a recipient of the 2011 United States Artists Foundation Project Grant, as well as a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grantee in 2010.

Ref.: 924802-1011
Yukio Yamamoto was born in the Ako district of Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, in 1925.
In 1953, he spent a year as a research student at the Tanabe class of the Department of Ceramics at Kyoto Institute of Technology. Yukio studied the history of pottery of the past centuries of this well-known Hemiji Castle domain. He would also research kiln designs through fieldwork as his thesis project.
By 1954, he built his first Noborigama chambered climbing kiln in Tenjin-Cho, Himeji City, teaching the old-world firing process classes. This would become the first step in Yamamoto’s revival of the Tozan style of Anagama and Noborigama down-draft style wood-fired kilns. In 1600, the kiln process had been at its height and had mainly provided wares to Himeji Castle.
As an artist, he typically worked in ash-covered high-fired unglazed ceramics...

B6 Pull
By Neil Wood
Located in Bournemouth, Dorset
Neil Wood (.1963) is a professional sculptor and fine artist . He has many years experience lecturing in fine art and sculpture at institutions in the UK. He has worked in various settings; in education, as artist in residence and visiting lecturer, alongside his practice producing sculpture for exhibition and public commissions.
He employs a Modernist methodology to explore the human condition in the 21st century. He continues to use the figure as a vehicle to explore formal material qualities and visual language as a means of expressing, often complex, ideas about the world we inhabit and the nature of human experience and relationships. Recent work explores social and political injustices inflicted on the underprivileged and displaced worldwide.
These constructed steel sculptures, finished with an electrostatic powder coating are continuation of the Displaced series. They attempt to express physical representations of the conceptual burdens or challenges that are part of the human condition and experience.
Displaced is a body of work, comprising sculptures, relief panels and works on paper. It aims to explore a general theme of inequality imposed by circumstances. I’m attempting to convey an emotional response to various humanitarian challenges of the twenty-first century, albeit by employing a mid-twentieth century aesthetic and sculptural tradition. The works focus on individual relationships, families...
