British, b. 1953
Manchester-born Kevin Cummins has an international reputation as one of the world’s leading photographers and is famed for his iconic portraits of musicians including Joy Division, David Bowie, Nick Cave, Mick Jagger, Patti Smith and Oasis. In 1977, his photo of the Buzzcocks landed on the cover of the NME, launching a near 25 year affiliation with the magazine, including more than 10 years as chief photographer.(Biography provided by Modern Rocks Gallery)

Clarence Sinclair Bull was born in Sun River, Montana, in 1896. His career began when Samuel Goldwyn hired him in 1920 to photograph publicity stills of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio's stars. He is most famous for his photographs of Greta Garbo, taken between 1926 and 1941. Bull's first portrait of Garbo was a costume study for the silent romantic drama film Flesh and the Devil in September 1926.
