Romolo Leone Art
Romolo Leone was a Neapolitan artist and painter. He was a pupil of Giuseppe Casciaro, he was very influential on a stylistic level, a feature that will emerge throughout his pictorial career. In 1927, again in the wake of Casciaro, he joined the Flegreo Group, a movement born to promote Neapolitan art in Italy and abroad, organizing and promoting collective exhibitions. Leone lived for years in Paris, but he remained a landscape painter, and his main themes were country houses and crowded city streets. He was present at important exhibitions, the “Promotrice di Napoli” in 1922, and Turin in various exhibitions from 1928–35.
