Sigurd Schou was an Danish Impressionist painter who focused on loose depictions of pastoral and coastal landscapes. Born and raised in Denmark, he enrolled in the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and went on to develop an Impressionistic stylization of landscapes such as these.(Biography provided by Rafael Gallery)
