Very old bronze Buddha head from Thailand/Southeast Asian art/Buddha statue

About the Item

This is the head of a bronze or brass Buddha statue made in ancient times in Thailand. It is thought that this Buddha statue was made from approximately the Sukhothai period to the Ayutthaya period. It has an egg-shaped head, arched eyebrows, smoothly curved eyes and mouth, spiral hair, and a flame decoration on the top of its head. These represent the conditions for Buddhist statues made during the Sukhothai Dynasty. Therefore, the design was inherited even after the Ayutthaya Dynasty, so I think it dates from the 15th to the 17th century. Also, since a similar item was published in an art book, I have included a photo of it as a reference. There was probably a time in the past when Japanese people who went to Thailand bought Buddhist statues like this, and there are still small oak Thai Buddha statues left in Japan. This one was also owned by a Japanese collector. You have a very beautiful face. The size is small, so why not display it in your living room or add it to your collection room? I also want as many people as possible to know the quality of antiques, so I keep my prices reasonable. size of the head itself w6.5cm d7.6cm h14.1cm Overall size including pedestal w13.5cm d9.8cm h19.5cm Weight 991g
