By DEDON, Frank Ligthart
Located in Hanover, MA
BG GALLERIES SALE PRICE THROUGH 30 June 2024
The Obelisk designed by Frank Ligthart for Dedon, 2008. No longer in production.
It is composed of two pairs of matching high- and low-back chairs and a conical table. The base of the table supports all the chairs when stacked into its sculptural shape for storage.
We also have available separately a near complete additional Obelisk consisting of three of the S chairs and one M chair plus the table.
Image 9 shows the complete Obelisk plus the spare table and chairs.
Best of both worlds is to have the spare set for seating together with the complete Obelisk as sculpture, until additional seating is required.
Image 8 shows the "spare" set which includes 3 "S" chairs (instead of 2) and 1 "M" chair (instead of 2) and one table base.
The discounted price for the spare set on its own is $3800.
The spare set will not stack to form the obelisk because that requires two of each chair.
This is the ultra-chic original space-saving solution for garden, pool or terrace furniture...

Pair of Large Stone Pineapple Finials or Pier Caps
Located in Wormelow, Herefordshire
This striking pair of large stone pineapple finials once resided on the grounds of a prestigious English estate. Made in the Mid-20th Century, they are of impressive scale and beautifully weathered, the details in the composition stone having been preserved beautifully for over half a century. They bare a striking resemblance to the Coade stone pineapple finials found at the National Trust’s Ham House in Surrey UK (pictured) and are likely based on this iconic design.
Once a symbol of wealth and extravagance, pineapple finials became a well-known addition of English entrance architecture throughout the ages. Today, the form remains a symbol of welcome and hospitality, often found in the original architecture and landscaping of formal gardens and houses around the UK. These large pineapple garden finials are ideal for use as pier caps...
