Large Edwardian Silver-Plate and Leather-Mounted Glass Flask With Hinged Lid

About the Item

Large, Edwardian, silver-plated and leather-mounted glass flask with hinged lid (having a cork insert), Sheffield, England, Ca. 1900, James Dixon and Sons, - makers. Leather has been cut on both sides of the flask in an oblong see-through so that the amount of liquid contained in the flask will be visible. Removable silver-plated bottom becomes the drinking cup. Measures almost 7 1/2 inches high (to top of hinged lid) x 3 3/4 inches wide (at widest point) x 1 1/2 inches deep. Dark areas in photos are reflections. Plating is in very good antique condition as is the entire flask.
