An objet de Vertu designed by Roberto Legnazzi.
An incredible over sized piece, created in Alessandria Italy at the jewelry atelier of Roberto Legnazzi, back in the 1970's. This is a fabulous objet de vertu piece to be exhibited in any desk or place. Has been carefully crafted with strong orientalism patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. It is embellished with a nice selection of calibrated white colorless diamonds and is mount with an incredible extra large piece of natural coral, carved with Japanese motifs and the figure of a standing Quan Yin. The blade is made in the shape of a samurai katana sword.
Diamonds: Mount in a flush setting, with 60 round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.82 carats, white colorless E/F color, VS-2 Clarity.
Coral: Mount on top, with 1 piece of coral, carved with orientalism motifs.
Onyx: Accented with, 1 oval double cabochon cut carved from black onyx.

The Legnazzi company represents the fourth generation of a family of jewelers who creates jewelry since 1911 in his workshop in Valenza. The style Legnazzi is a bright example of Italian jewelry tradition and has been able to perpetuate itself over time thanks to the elegance that expresses in his creations. They was always looking for innovation and with a great attention to detail, they seek to satisfy the tastes of a sophisticated international clientele. His exquisite jewels are popular not only in Italy but all over the world. The atelier of Roberto Legnazzi was one of the master enamellers of the David Webb Company back in the 1970's. This rare piece has been designed in a squared curvilinear shape and carefully crafted up in solid sterling silver .935/.999 . The watch is gilded and is fully embellished with applications of purple-violet and white enamels over a geometric guilloche patterns. It is fitted at the reverse, with an easel back retractable hinged stand.
Movement: Is Swiss mechanical wingding, 8 days. The dial is creme-white with arabic golden numerals and with black hands and inscribed, Tiffany & Co. Swiss.

Very rare and unusual desk seal, created in England during the Edwardian period, back in the early 1900's. This seal feature the arms of the Prince of Wales and is composed by the agate pommel, carved with smooth surfaces and the round mount setting crafted in yellow gold of 18 karats with scrolls decorations. The seal depicts three feathers aligned over a crown, carved with incised intaglio in natural white agate.
Gemstones: The handle pommel is carved from a single piece of brown translucent agate with bluish veins.

The coat of arms of the Prince of Wales is the official personal heraldic insignia of the Princes of Wales, a title traditionally granted to the heir apparent of the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, formerly the Kingdom of Great Britain and before that the Kingdom of England. Since Edward I awarded it to his son the future Edward II, the heir apparent to the English throne has been created with the title Prince of Wales. The history of the coat of arms is closely linked with those of the Royal coat of arms of England and the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom. However, as the noted antiquarian and heraldist Charles Boutell wrote in 1863, "The Arms of the Prince of Wales have a distinct individuality of their own, with which nothing ought to be directly associated".
History
The badge has no connection with the native Princes of Wales. Its use is generally traced back to Edward, the Black Prince (1330–1376), eldest son and heir apparent of Edward III of England. Edward bore (as an alternative to his differenced royal arms) a shield of Sable, three ostrich feathers argent, described as his "shield for peace", probably meaning the shield he used for jousting. This fabulous flamboyant piece is a truly magnificent work of Art Deco jewelry art and has been crafted with very elegant Japonism patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with accents in platinum for the setting of the diamonds.
The piece is decorated in both sides with abstract images of the Japan national tree of the cherry blossom, entirely embellished with applications of blue, black and rose enamels.

The Cressarrow Company
Was originally formed as a jewelry manufacturer in Newark New Jersey in 1890 as the N.E. Whiteside & Co and was succeeded by Whiteside and Blank in 1903. The firm manufactured 14 carat brooches, scarf pins, sleeve buttons, studs, and bracelets, accented with enamel. Later they produced high quality jewelry in platinum. The United States Patent and Trademark Office registration indicates that the C with the arrow through it was first used for brooches, cuff-buttons, pendants, necklaces and rings by the original firm beginning in 1890. In 1911, the company was awarded the exclusive licence to sell the expansion bracelet that had been invented in Germany. The venture became immediately successful and Whiteside and Blank devoted more and more time to the watch business, becoming the first in the United States to make wrist watches for ladies...

About Freres Rochat:
Frères Rochat is a Swiss company that was founded in the early 19th century by Antoine and Samuel Rochat, two brothers who came from a long line of skilled watchmakers.
