The showers have ended and the clouds clear. The day is ending and the streetlights come on - too early. Maybe they think it’s still winter and it should be dark by now, but it's April, and springtime, and the day wants to hold on for just a little longer. Although it's still chilly outside, the café proprietor takes a chance that someone will want to get out of their stuffy apartment and sit at his tables to enjoy the cherry blossoms and budding trees. April in Paris has never looked so beguiling, and who but Liudmila Kondakova can take us there.
Kondakova’s April in Paris shows us another enchanting scene in the City of Light. She creates her paintings with meticulous attention to detail, spending two or three months on each one. Every fold in the tablecloths, every new leaf on each delicate branch, every fallen blossom combines into a glorious tableau that celebrates the beauty to be found in everyday life. Her palette, sometimes mellow, sometimes vibrant, combines into a rich representation of the renewed colors of springtime. Kondakova knows that where you find happiness, there you will also find beauty - and her many happy years in Paris continue to provide her with the inspiration to show us the beauty that lives in her memories.

Liudmila Kondakova
Liudmila Kondakova’s artworks are rich with clarity and light, reflecting in their extraordinary draftsmanship a sense of artistic and spiritual well-being. Her meticulous attention to detail allows us to become intimately involved in the life of her paintings, often depicting well-known streets and landmarks in Paris. In the artist’s words: “To me, these streets, with their worn cobblestones and aged buildings, evoke a sense of nostalgia and romance with a touch of melancholy. It is the ideal kind of space.” Since her childhood in Russia, Liudmila Kondakova has been fascinated by traditional art, and by a sense of spirituality that transcends common existence. Her painting technique follows the tradition of medieval egg-tempera painters. Her palette—influenced by the icon painters of Byzantium and later, Russia—is both vibrant and beautiful, with colors that blend in a subtle, poetic balance. Born in Russia in 1956, Liudmila Kondakova immigrated to the United States in 1991. A graduate of the Grabar Center in Moscow, she also attended Russia’s School of Sacred Arts, the Moscow Pedagogical Institute and the Moscow Art Institute. Kondakova connects her highly trained background to her artistic expression this way: “In my art, the essence and beauty has always rested in the details.”

- Audrey Hepburn, mixed media limited edition fashion inspired unique screen printBy Rosie EmersonLocated in Dallas, TXRosie Emerson returns to her elongated trademark style for the release of a brand new Audrey Hepburn print. Emerson has developed her very own technique to make these to prints using charcoal powder instead of ink, these print have a soft look and light texture to them, the powder is fixed with layers of fixative and also a UV varnish so they are protected for the years to come. Elevating the iconic Audrey Hepburn these prints unite hand painted elements, collaged found wire, diamonds and star constellations all in her monochrome style. A small edition of just 20, each print will vary slightly due to her unique technique, they come signed and edition in pencil and embossed with an artists stamp. Rosie Emerson, born in 1981, is a contemporary artist working almost exclusively on representing the female form. Emerson’s figures draw reference from archetypes old and new, from Artemis to the modern day super model, each solitary figure, an allegory of her own fantasy. Interested in surface, the interplay between photography and painting. Emerson’s works are playful constructs; Photography is used, not as a device for capturing reality but for creating romanticised optical illusions. Inspired by her love of theatre, performance, shrines and rituals, she uses lighting, costume, set and prop making, alongside printmaking and painting to create other worldly one off pieces. Her photography is inspired by both the drama of the baroque, and ethereal qualities of Pre Raphaelite works. Other important influences include late medieval and renaissance paintings, Japanese prints, and magical realist literature. Emerson’s work is widely collected and exhibited both in the UK as well as internationally, through galleries, art fairs and museums. She has also worked with brands and individuals including Harvey Nichols, The Ivy Club, Sony, Triumph Underwear, Redbull, P&O Cruises, and Annoushka jewelry...Category
