About the Item
This beautiful bronze sculpture depicts a figure walking on top of a an orb, also in bronze. The figure, with slightly abstracted features, is walking at a deep angle over the base of the piece. The position of the arms communicate the effort involved in maintaining balance. The
patina of the figure and orb convey depth and richness. This is a significant sculpture with great presence.
Gay Malin is an American sculptor and printmaker who exhibits regularly in galleries in the Northeast. A graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in sculpture, Malin is a member of the Sculptors Guild and a recipient of several professional awards. She has been involved in facial reconstructions for the New York State Museums; she maintains a studio in Albany, NY.
