Vintage 1960s Juel Park of Beverly Hills Couture Red Roses Satin Dressing Gown

About the Item

Breathtaking 1960's Juel Park of Beverly Hills Couture dressing gown custom-made for the beautiful Mrs. Jerry Lewis, Patti Palmer. Jerry Lewis, nicknamed "The King of Comedy", was an American comedian, actor, singer, filmmaker and humanitarian, who appeared in over sixty films. Of course his wife only had the best! Juel Park started her lingerie design career at the age of 21 and became one of the world's most outstanding designers of fine Haute-Couture lingerie. Iconic celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Joan Crawford, Audrey Hepburn, Mae West, Grace Kelly and Lauren Bacall all lounged in Juel Park Lingerie. With its red roses floral pattern and breathtaking silhouette, this rare garment makes a memorable impression. The flocked silk satin is unbelievable; the brilliant red color cannot be matched today. It has the most flattering cut with inner belted nipped waist and the fine workmanship expected of this design. I particularly love the side sash-bow belt which flows into a wonderful swing skirt. You can definitely use this piece for the boudoir but it can also be layered over any cocktail dress for a phenomenal evening coat. A rare piece of documented fashion history. Measurements Bust: 34-36 inches Waist: 24-27 inches (adjustable tie) Hips: Swing Sweep Total Length: 57 inches This rare Juel Parks Couture dressing gown, custom made in 1962, is in excellent wearable condition with no rips, stains or holes. Lined in matching red silk. Comes with picture of Patti Palmer wearing the garment.
