About the Item
Berndt Friberg, Stoneware vase with red brown haresfur glaze, Gustavsberg , Sweden 1966 Impressed "Friberg" "G (hand) " Incised "H"
This is a red brown haresfur glazed vase by Berndt Friberg, a master potter at the Gustavsberg Porcelain manufactory in Sweden.
The entire vessel is covered with a reddish-brown glaze, which is then covered with an additional double layer of reddish-brown glaze covering the entire surface. The hairline of the glaze flows beautifully over the entire piece, giving it a perfect, seamless look. The shape is that of a standard Friberg curved vase, with a straight white line emerging from the shoulder.
It is large enough to be a beautiful piece with a strong presence.
The vessel has been examined by an expert by UV light and visual inspection to ensure that there are no repairs and that it is not twice kiln fired.
