These are nine Delft ceramic wall tiles, all with a blue and white hand painted flower pattern, made in the Netherlands during the 18th century, circa 1750.
Each tile is nominally 5 inches square..
All nine tiles are unique, being individually hand painted with similar but different patterns featuring a stylised flower pattern with a flying insect or butterfly. They are all enamelled in cobalt blue, using different shades of blue, which varies slightly from tile to tile as expected:- please see the images.
These are a very good set and it is hard to find a matching set of Nine Tiles of this age and condition.
