Royal Worcester Hand Coloured Pitcher
About the Item
This Royal Worcester porcelain jug is decorated with a lively hand coloured spray of flowers, embellished with gilding, on a cream ground. There is a smaller spray on the reverse. The jug shape is listed as number 1094, which was introduced in 1885, and came in 6 sizes. The height of this one is 155 mm (6 inches) and it has a diameter of 115 mm (4.5 inches). The reeded handle has suffered some rubbing of the gilding, revealing small areas of the reddish base. Otherwise it is in very good condition. It carries the date code for 1897.
