pair vintage 1960s traditional Italian tole lamps with matching lampshades. Material: Tole and fabric Style: Traditional Italian, French Country, French provincial, Louis XVI, Neoclassical, Vintage, Mid Century, Traditional, Classic Design: In the style of Edward Caldwell, Chapman manufactoring company Technique: Lacquered Color: Yellow and black Origin: Italy, 1960 - 1969 Gold corded with switch and an E27 socket Condition: Good working condition. Recent wires and the matching yellow lampshades are in new condition. The lamps are US compatible but an adapter for the plug is required Description: A pair vintage 1960s Italian tole lamps. Yellow painted tole vase on a square foot embellished with lion masks and on the front and back trophees. The lamps are US compatible, an adapter for plug is required All our lamps are fully working condition, however, we are shipping from Europe and for all our lamps or chandeliers we always recommend to have it checked by an electrician before use. Height 24 in - 60 cm (with lampshade) Width lampshade lower 15.7 in - 38 cm Toleware was developed in the early 18th century and was wildly popular and widely produced until the end of the 19th century. It had a short-lived revival mid-20th century Toleware takes its name from the French `tole peinte` (painted sheet iron). The tole was originally painted to prevent rust and therefore to preserve the items. Toleware is today experiencing a second renaissance among collectors and enthusiasts who love the look of these decorative objects.
