George III Needlework Fire Screen

About the Item

George III needlework fire screen depicts an English manor house with dogs, deer, and peacocks on a landscape. A woman is playing the mandolin while children are playing. The faces of the figures are stitched in raised petit point. The stem is fluted with a spiral knop and floral and acanthus carved legs. *** There is significant deterioration in the top of the needlework.
