Custom "Wink" lounge chair by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina, Italy 1980s

About the Item

Model 111 "Wink" lounge chair. Designed in the 1980s by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina. It is adjustable in multiple ways. The back is reclinable into an almost horizontal position. The lower part of the seat folds underneath the upper part, raising the seat height and transforming is into a more casual lounge chair. Fully extended it transforms into a daybed. The "ears" can be folded back. A new cover has been made by a professional reupholsterer in a velours style petrol blue fabric. The parts ( like floor pads and the piping around the adjustor knobs) of the original cover have been re-used. The original label has been sewn inside like the original.
