Martin Eisler, Rare Armchair, Forma S.A. Mid-Century Modern Brazilian, 1955

About the Item

This comfortable armchair was designed by Martin Eisler (1913-1977) in 1955 and manufactured by Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte. Its structure is composed of solid wood, supported on pointed Rosewood feet. The high backrests and arms form an attractive lateral cutout in the meeting between them. Above the seat, a soft foam cushion associated with the curved and welcoming the piece's shape provides the user with the perfect conditions to rest the body and relax. This model figured in several interior projects developed by architects, appearing in the most prominent Brazilian magazines that constructed the taste and lifestyle of the time. This piece received new upholstery in a gorgeous boucle fabric, and its structure is in excellent condition.
