19th Century French Oak Vitrine
About the Item
This antique Provincial vitrine in natural oak combines elegance with country simplicity. Made in France in the 1800s, the gentle arch of the cornice is echoed in the shape of the lower cupboard doors to form a harmonious composition. The windows of the upper cabinet give a view onto patinated shelves: the dynamic color palette of periwinkle blue paint and dark amber wood creates a striking contrast with the pale, pristine wood of the exterior. This dialogue between the distressed, nostalgic finish of the interior and the refined beauty of the restored oak gives this piece its distinctive personality.
