About the Item

"Time Travel" stands as a contemporary masterpiece, a captivating fabrication of brazed bronze sheet that marks an evolution from the intricate jewelry creations in precious metals that I have been crafting on a smaller scale. This piece, a direct descendant of my earlier work, embraces the transition from millimeters to inches, ultimately expanding to a foot scale. The result is a work of art that not only commands attention but also narrates a compelling story of artistic growth and exploration. Crafted with precision and finesse, the bronze sheet is meticulously brazed to create clean, sweeping lines that define the essence of the piece. The removal of the black patina from the edges adds a distinctive touch, emphasizing the linear quality and imbuing the artwork with a sense of clarity and depth. "Time Travel" invites viewers to experience a visual journey, as if opening an envelope into the dimensions of time. The title, "Time Travel," encapsulates the transformative nature of this artistic odyssey. Moving from the minutiae of a millimeter scale to the grandeur of a foot scale, the process was not only exhilarating but also deeply gratifying. This shift allowed me to make bold statements and craft narratives that resonate with the intricate stories my work is recognized for today. As viewers engage with "Time Travel," they are invited to contemplate the progression of time, both in the creation of the artwork and in the narrative it unfolds. The piece serves as a testament to the artist's journey— a journey of exploration, expansion, and the continual quest to make profound statements through art. "Time Travel" encapsulates not only the physical dimensions of the artwork but also the intangible dimensions of artistic evolution and expression.

  • Bronze Sculpture EXCLOS
    By Guillaume Roche
    Located in Pasadena, CA
Guillaume ROCHE The artist translates movement and energy through the dynamism of assemblages and seeks the balance of composition. His sculptures offer aerial movements, round shapes with powerful lines, delicate and sensual cuts. The contextualization of his works, inscribing the approach of Guillaume Roche in the field of architecture: work of structure, lines, matter and skin, study of a volume and its proportions according to context and environment. His work is conceived to be connected with the territory. The EXCLOS series is born from the encounter of the concepts of EXPLOSION and ECLOSION. The artist conceives these imposing spheres of steel as a powerful breath contained by a gentle force that channels and envelops this primary energy. Working with stainless steel, Guillaume seeks contrast through concepts such as full-void, light-weight, balance-fall. In contrast, he finds total freedom of creation...
